Task guides

See what is still unpaid (open items)

Step-by-step task guide: Bank and payments.

  • Open Inbox and scroll down to the Open items panel. Its title shows how many are open.
  • An open item is an invoice or bill that is not paid in full yet. Each row shows the name, the invoice number, the due date and how much is still open of the total.
  • Use All, Receivables or Payables to filter. Receivables are amounts others owe you, payables are amounts you owe.
  • A row marked overdue in red is past its due date.
  • To find one item, type an amount or number into the search field and click Search.
  • Click the name on a row to open its booking.
  • An item leaves the list when payments cover it, see Assign a bank line. With nothing open the panel says that every booking is paid.
  • For a report by contact, choose Report by contact above the list (shown only to roles that may read payments and export). Pick Receivables or Payables and an As of date; a date in the future is refused.
  • The report groups the open items by contact, with subtotals per currency and Total open. The ageing buckets (Not due, 1-30 days, 31-60 days, 61-90 days, Over 90 days) are totals at the top and also filter the list. Credits and small amounts are marked.
  • Download CSV saves the report and Print prints it. A past date is recomputed from the payments up to that day, but with the bookings as they are now: one archived or corrected since then is missing or changed.
