Task guides
Create a data package for a tax audit (GoBD export)
Step-by-step task guide: VAT and DATEV.
- GoBD is the set of German rules for keeping books digitally. In a tax audit, the auditor may ask for a data package (Z3) with your bookings and original documents. The app builds it for you.
- Open Settings, then GoBD export.
- Under Scope choose a fiscal year, or All data, and select Create package.
- The package appears in the list and shows its state: Waiting, Building, Ready or Failed. The list refreshes by itself while it builds.
- When it is Ready, choose Download. The row shows the number of files and rows and the SHA-256 fingerprint of the package. Warnings tell you if an original document is missing from the archive or differs from its stored fingerprint.
- A package is available only for a limited time. If it has expired, choose Build again. If your role may not create exports, the app says so.
- Download asks for a fresh code, sent to your sign-in e-mail. The code is valid only for this download and for a few minutes; another protected action asks for its own code.
