What the Marsstein accounting app does and where to start.
The accounting app reads your documents with AI, lets you review them in an inbox, books them on the standard German chart of accounts (SKR03), matches them to bank lines, issues invoices and prepares the VAT return and the exports for your tax adviser (Steuerberater). A person always accepts what the AI proposes.

Common tasks
Review an uploaded receipt
Check the fields the AI read and accept or correct them.
Send an invoice
Create a sales invoice, issue it, send it and track payment.
Match a bank line
Assign bank lines to bookings and open items.
Prepare the VAT return
Work through the advance VAT return (UStVA) and the EC sales list.
Hand over to the tax adviser
Export DATEV, CSV, ZIP or the GoBD package.
Ask the AI agent
Ask about overdue invoices, open items or a supplier in plain language.
