Payroll

Employees and the monthly payroll run.

Payroll overview (switched on for this client)

Payroll month October 2026, four employees, and a 'Who does what' text: employees, absences, hours and pay are in the app; calculation, payslips, personnel-cost booking, the payment file and the ELSTER filing are 'not available yet'. Swiss entities use a Swissdec-certified tool.

In short

Payroll data is kept and prepared here. The actual calculation is not built, and the screen says so up front.

Try it

Switch to the Employees and Payroll run tabs.

Good to know

  • Switch: client setting payroll_enabled (on for Eversion Demo).

Payroll month and who does what

Employees

Four fictional employees with start date, type (full time, part time, working student, mini job), pay, tax class and health insurer. Search, Active and Former, Export employees (CSV), a blank personnel questionnaire (PDF), Import employees, Add employee.

In short

The employment type decides social insurance.

Try it

Open an employee with Edit.

Good to know

  • A new employee gets a read-only review step before it is created, and identifiers such as the tax ID are sealed and shown only to roles with the payroll right, per the docs.

Four fictional employees

Payroll run for the month

The run for October 2026 in state Draft with five steps (Absences, Hours and pay, Wage tax return, Payments, Close), the deadline text for the Beitragsnachweis (social insurance contribution statement), and absences per employee (vacation, sick).

In short

Payroll month is closed in steps. The page tells you by which date it must be closed so the contribution statement can go out two banking days before the contributions are due.

Good to know

  • The Lohnsteuer-Anmeldung (payroll tax return) (wage tax return) is tracked as a deadline; filing is by a person.
