Task guides
Let the agent read and change a sheet (working paper)
Step-by-step task guide: AI agent.
- Owners, admins, accountants and bookkeepers can ask the agent to propose changes to a working paper (a sheet); a tax advisor can only have it read. Sheets are a separate feature that must be switched on in your installation, which is not the case by default: if you do not see the sheet views, ask your administrator.
- A working paper is a sheet the app keeps for you, such as the Opening balances sheet in Settings, the sheet of Map a bank file in a sheet, or the UStVA working paper of a VAT period. Open it and use the assistant beside it (Ask the assistant on the UStVA paper), or ask in the chat, for example "Put 1,200 in cell C5" or "Map these accounts to SKR03". The agent reads the cell values only, not formulas or formatting, and up to 500 cells at a time.
- The agent only proposes. Next to the sheet you see N proposed changes, each cell with its old and new value, and what would be recalculated. Use Accept all, Accept 2 changes for the ticked ones, or Dismiss all; a single change can also be dismissed. Accepting saves a new version of the sheet; nothing changes before that. The app checks every old value again and recalculates.
- Only certain areas of a sheet can be changed. In the opening balances sheet that is the table from row 2 (columns A to D), in the bank file sheet the header row, in the UStVA paper the reconciliation and notes columns F and G. The return boxes of the UStVA paper come from the bookings and are protected: correct a wrong box through its booking, not in the sheet.
- A sealed working paper (its VAT period is filed) cannot be changed at all; the agent says The working paper is closed and cannot be changed.
- If the sheet changed after the proposal, nothing is applied and the agent has to propose again (The sheet changed since the proposal). Save your own edits first, otherwise the proposal no longer fits.
- Some changes are refused: a formula that links outside the paper (HYPERLINK, WEBSERVICE), that makes a circular reference or uses INDIRECT or OFFSET. A sheet that is too large cannot be recalculated, or the recalculation is temporarily unavailable; try again later. Nothing in a sheet posts a booking.
