Task guides
See and switch off the learned bank rules
Step-by-step task guide: Bank and payments.
- Open Settings, then Bank rules. You do not write these rules yourself: when someone assigns a bank line without a document to a category, the app learns the counterparty (the other party of the payment) and the direction.
- After enough assignments, the next line from the same counterparty is only proposed. Nothing is booked until someone accepts it.
- The table shows for each rule the Counterparty, the Target it books to, the Assignments and Rejections counted so far, and the Status: learning, proposing or disabled.
- To stop a rule from proposing, untick the box in its Status column. Tick it again to switch the rule back on.
- To remove a rule, choose the bin symbol on its row and confirm with Yes, delete. What it learned is lost.
- At the top, Assign transfers between own accounts automatically as transit is off by default. When ticked, the autopilot treats an imported line to another own bank account as money in transit and records that in the audit log.
- Only owner, admin and accountant may change bank rules; other roles see them but get a refusal.
