Let the agent match bank lines in a batch

Step-by-step task guide: AI agent.

  • Owners, admins, accountants and bookkeepers can ask the agent to propose bank assignments. A tax advisor can ask about bank lines but not have them proposed (the step shows not allowed for your role). There is no switch to turn on. Accepting a row needs the right to change bank lines and to record payments, which the same four roles hold.
  • Ask in plain words, for example "Match all October lines that have a clear candidate". The agent lists the open bank lines (up to 100 at a time, best candidate first, for the dates you name) and proposes up to 50 lines per request. It only chooses among the candidates the app's matcher already found for each line; amounts, splits, cash discount and fees come from the matcher, never from the agent.
  • Nothing is assigned yet. The proposals open beside the chat in the Workspace, on the tab Bank assignments, one card per line with the agent's note. They are also listed in the Inbox under Proposals.
  • Tick the rows you trust and click Accept 3 selected, or use Accept or Reject on a single row. Every row is accepted on its own: if some fail, the pane says how many could not be assigned and stay open, with the reason of the first one, and the rest go through.
  • The agent calls a suggestion high, medium or low, never a settled match, until you accept. A line without any candidate has no receipt in the app yet: upload the receipts first.
  • The agent does not propose returned payments, refunds, other kinds of targets or overpayments (a payment larger than the document). A person settles those by hand, and the agent tells you which lines and why.
  • If a bank statement's balance does not add up, its lines are held: they are not listed and not matched, and the agent names the statement. Confirm the printed closing balance with Correct the balances under the imported statements in Finances, Accounts. The agent never enters a balance itself.
