Record a fixed asset and export the register

Step-by-step task guide: Bookings and reports.

  • Open Finances and then the Fixed assets tab. It shows only when your role may read the register.
  • The register is data for the tax advisor: they enter it into DATEV asset accounting, which calculates the depreciation. The app books nothing here and writes no depreciation.
  • Under Record a fixed asset fill in the description, the asset account, the acquisition date and the Useful life (months). The acquisition cost is made of purchase price, customs duty, freight and installation; the purchase price is required. Import VAT is not part of it. You pick the account from the asset accounts of the chart.
  • Click Record. The asset appears in the Fixed-asset register. The Book value (indicative) column is calculated straight-line up to the chosen As of date, by default the end of the fiscal year. The tax advisor's books are authoritative.
  • When an asset leaves, click Record disposal in its row, choose the day and click Save disposal. That keeps a date and a status only, no booking is made. A disposed asset can no longer be changed.
  • Export CSV downloads the register for the tax advisor, in the app language. You need the right to export.
