Check the class of an invoice line and set the asset pool

Step-by-step task guide: Bookings and reports.

  • Open a supplier invoice under Bookings. Each row of the Line items carries a chip with the proposed Class: Expense, Low-value asset, Pool or Fixed asset. Hover over it (or press and hold on a phone) to read the reason in one sentence.
  • The limits are net per unit: up to 250 euros an expense, up to 800 euros a low-value asset (GWG), above that a fixed asset. With the asset pool elected, 250.01 to 1,000 euros goes into the pool. Whether the rows are stored net or gross, the app tells from the sum of the booking.
  • The class is a proposal. The app books nothing from it by itself and changes no booking. Below the line items it says which pool election it used for the fiscal year of the document. With none stored, the pool counts as not elected.
  • For amounts in a currency other than euro the app proposes no class and says so.
  • You set the election under Settings: in the Bookkeeping group on the Fixed assets tab. Tick the fiscal year in which you elect the pool. The change is written to the audit log. Once the fiscal year has a locked month, the election can no longer be changed.
  • The same tab offers the GWG list for each year as a CSV file: the lines above 250 euros net that are classed as low-value assets. You need the right to export.
